Welcome to the World

This is a hatchling Colombian redfoot tortoise, just one hour after poking his little head out of his eggshell. He still has the egg sac attached to his belly button, but as he grows and uses up all of its nourishment, it will dry up and gradually disappear. Such a precious little life...
