C a n d y L a n d

Let's tiptoe through the sugar berries
Come fly far away with me
To a land that's made of milk and honey
And bright candy colored dreams

The sun is a bright yellow lemon drop
The fluffy clouds are sugar spun
The moon's a vanilla pudding pie
Count the starry gumdrops one by one

The trees are made of licorice
Peanut brittle for the leaves
The flowers are pink sugar sticks
Flying amongst them are bumblegum bees

Swim in an ocean of chocolate milk
With seashells of big round Oreos
Go walking on soft beaches at night
It's sugar you'll feel between your toes!

Climb a mountain of caramel custard
Make snowballs out of whipped cream

Inner Voices

You cannot see me
    I am the little voice inside your head
    I know your thoughts
         I control your every move
    I can sense your worst fears
    I play with your darkest secrets
         I know the true intentions of your heart
    I can see you from the inside out
    I know what makes your blood boil with rage
         I know what breaks your heart into pieces
    I know when you truly mean what you say
    I know if your smiles are real
I know the masks you wear; I'm the one that paints them on your face
I know all of your disguises; I'm the one that picks them out for you
I know every sin, every transgress

Silent Tears

Where are these tears I so long to cry?
Are they buried somewhere inside me or
just frozen behind my eyes?
I feel the storm inside of me.
The thunder and lightning display my pain and anguish
Only there is no rain.
I long for it to pour down and wash this sadness away.
It stays suspended in a lonely cloud inside my head.
I can feel it. The thunder calls my name.
It knows my thoughts.
The tears cannot go beyond the boundary of my eyes.
They can only look from the inside out and wonder
what it would be like to break free and run down my cheeks.
Each tear would melt a piece of the wall I have
built up inside and all around me.

I am my own person.
I can think on my own,
exist on my own.
I don't need to depend on anyone but myself.

People do whatever they're told
because they're afraid....
Afraid of what other people might think,
what people might say.
The world has so many under its control.
Blinding them to the concept of their own true self;
Automatons... products of society's mould.

I'm not afraid to speak my mind.
Why should I care what people think?
I don't need to depend on them for sustenance.
I can get along just fine by myself,
without anyone.
I'm not sorry I don't meet the world's standard

I'll pass that on to my friend Donna. He's her baby! Actually boxies really aren't much for biting unless you REALLY piss them off! They just close up inside their shell... my first turtle got so fat from me spoiling him with yummy worms that he couldn't fit in his shell all the way!
